Champaign Central chased the starting pitcher with one out in the top of the second but Ethan Klay pitched 5 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball and Austin Kornack drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 7th with no outs to give Springfield High a 4-3 win.

Austin Troemper picked up a two RBI single in the bottom of the sixth with two outs to bring the Senators within 3-2 and then Austin Alderman drove in a run in the bottom of the seventh before the Maroons intentionally loaded the bases before Kornack drew the bases loaded walk to win the game for Springfield High.

The Senators will play Champaign Centennial on Saturday for the 3A Lincoln Land sectional title at 10 a.m.
