In a rematch of a sectional final from a year ago, in which the Cyclones won 1-0, Friday's regular season tilt between SHG and Mattoon lived up to the billing as well. The Cyclones rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to come back and beat the Green Wave, 6-4.
Whitney David pitched a complete game for the Cyclones and also hit a crucial double in the seventh to set up a second and third situation for Katie Weller. Weller hit a shot to the left center field gap that brought home two runs, which ended up being the difference.
