Pleasant Plains executed its small ball approach to perfection as the Cardinals shut out Riverton, 3-0. Plains scored on a passed ball, suicide squeeze and sacrifice fly and that was all Bryant Williams needed on the hill.

The sophomore, Williams went 6 2/3 on the bump and struck out seven hawks. Daulton Nibbe and Johnny Steinwart both recorded RBI's for the Cardinals. Zak Merchant pitched very well for Riverton, going six innings and striking out five.
