Two Out Rallies Send Springfield High Baseball Past Glenwood

The Senators scored on a Michael Lavin RBI single in the fourth and then another two out rally in the fifth with RBI's from Trevor Minder and Damian Pierce to push Springfield by Glenwood 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

Pierce got the win on the mound after coming in to relieve Austin Troemper in the fifth and got Brendan Hostettler to ground into a double play to escape just giving up one run after the Titans had runners on the corners with no outs.

Luke Ketchum got the fifth inning two out rally started with a double and then Minder followed with an RBI double and Pierce brought him in with an RBI single to left field. 

The win pushes Springfield to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the Central State Eight. The two teams will meet on Wednesday afternoon in Chatham.
