They talk about Trevyon Williams' ability to get to the basket. They talk about his vision, his ability to find the open man. They talk about his defense, about how there's no loose ball he won't dive on. But they never really talk about his three point game. That's going to change.

Williams delivered four first half three pointers to help Southeast jump out to a 15 point lead over Lanphier in Friday's 3A Taylorville Sectional Final on Dolph Stanley Court. He finished with a game high 23 points, including a 4-for-5 effort from deep as Southeast held on down the stretch for a 62-57 win, their third in as many tries against their cross town rival this season.

The loss marked the end of Lanphier's all time leading scorer, Xavier Bishop. Bishop finished with 16 points in his final game. He surpassed Rich McBride earlier this season as the Lion's most prolific scorer ever.

Southeast advances to Tuesday's Springfield Supersectional at the PCCC where they'll play defending 3A runner-up Belleville Althoff.
