In a low scoring, slow paced game at The Bowl, Jacksonville found out that playoff openers as the favorite can sometimes be the toughest to win, as the Crimsons needed two overtimes to escape from Rochester for a 44-42 win.

Jacksonville advances to the 3A Jacksonville regional final, where the Crimsons have a rematch set with Lanphier on Friday night at The Bowl.

Brandon McCombs led the Crimsons with a team high 14 points. Joe Brannan chipped in with 12 points.

For Rochester, Collin Stallworth scored a game high 15 points, including a game-tying jumper as time expried at the end of the first overtime. Dalton Handlin scored 11 points in his final game as a Rocket.
