Auburn 195 pound junior Peyton Hudspeth won a sectional championship at Saturday's 1A Carterville sectional. His finish was the best of five Auburn wrestlers who advanced to next weekend's state tournament.
Sydney Landers and Evan Patterson both brough home second place finishes at 160 and 170 pounds respectively. Freshman Cole Maxedon was a third place finisher at 106 pounds and senior Noah Mayes took fourth at 113 pounds.
