Springfield High won all but two events on Tuesday at Eisenhower Pool, as they beat SHG 172 to 83 in the Boys City Swim Meet. Southeast finished in third with 55 points. Senator junior Gage Hamill broke the Springfield High 100 Yard Butterfly record in the process, which was previously owned by his older brother Jake. It was one of two event wins on the night for Hamill. Senior Jake Freer won two events as well, both the 50 and 100 freestyle.
Sacred Heart Griffin senior Nate Fierstos claimed wins in the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard breaststroke to keep Springfield High from sweeping all the individual events.
The win is Springfield High's second consecutive at the City Meet.
