Don't look now, but with the spotlight on Pleasant Plains and Williamsville in the Sangamo after the two met in the County Tournament, the Athens Warriors are quietly waiting for their revenge.

Athens started the season 2-2, with a loss to Plains in the Edinburg Turkey Tournament in which Nick Hanner sprained his ankle in the first minutes of the contest and was out almost a month and then lost to Williamsville at home when they were missing three of their five starters.

Since then, Jeff Johnston's guys have rattled off 15 straight wins, including a Waverly Holiday Tournament title and a Mohawk Classic title.

A matchup with Riverton is on the horizon for Friday night and the Warriors are ready to show the Sangamo they are still very much in the hunt for the title.
