The Athens Warriors jumped out to a 13-0 lead to start this one and although Nokomis made it interesting cutting it to four points late in the fourth, Nick Hanner's drive and score sealed the Mohawk Classic championship.
Matt Wendling scored 24 points, Nick Hanner added eight and Hunter Maxwell had nine points and a number of big blocks to aid Athens to a 48-41 win over Nokomis, who was led by Reid Detmers' 12 points.
Athens has won 15 straight games, including the Waverly Holiday Tournament championship and now the Mohawk Classic Championship, to move to 17-2 on the season.
