Dan Zeigler scored 12 points in the third quarter to help spark Rochester, leading the Rockets to a 58-53 win over upset-minded Riverton. The Rockets advance to the County Tournament semifinals, where they face Williamsville on Thursday.
Zeigler finished with a game high 19 points. Dalton Handlin scored 16 points and Collin Stallworth added 14 for the Rockets.
Riverton came out swinging and put forward a hard-fought effort against the No. 2 seeded Rockets. The Hawks led 26-23 at halftime, but down the stretch, Riverton struggled to keep up with Rochester's speed and athleticism.
Anthony Frank led the Hawks with 17 point, Zak Merchant added 11 and Ryan Roscetti recorded 10 points.
