The Lanphier Lions had a full year to absorb the bitter pill of a double forfeit and a loss to MacArthur last season. On Friday, the Lions traveled to Decatur, set the tone and left no doubts as Lanphier cracked triple digits in their resounding 100-71 win over the Generals. Xavier Bishop had 34 points to lead all scorers but Yaakema Rose also chipped in with 32 points and 15 rebounds for the Lions. Combined, the Lions backcourt of Bishop and Rose had 66 points, 22 rebounds and 10 assists (6 by Rose) and the combo made 25 of 41 shots. The Lions go to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the CS8.
