Lanphier led by as many as 13 points against St. Louis CBC in Friday's semifinals at the Adam Lopez Thanksgiving Tournament, but foul trouble and missed free throws combined to sink the Lions late in a 79-73 loss.
Xavier Bishop scored a game high 31 points. Four Lions scored in double digits. CBC, which features three players with Division I commitments, outscored Lanphier 46-32 in the second half. Indiana State bound Jordan Barnes led the Cadets with 22 points and seven assists.
Lanphier will play East St. Louis in the third place game at 6pm on Saturday. Peoria Manual and CBC will play for the title at 8.
