Athens fell into a 21-0 first half deficit at Nashville in a 2A quarterfinal game on Saturday and never could recover, dropping a 35-14 decision to the Hornets. It's the second straight season that Athens' season has come do an end in the quarterfinals.
Nashville will play at Auburn in the 2A semifinals next Saturday at 2pm.
