Lincoln and Metamora dueled it out in a very competitive regional championship match at Roy S. Anderson Gym in Lincoln, but ultimately the No. 4 seeded Redbirds prevailed in a tough three set battle 26-24, 22-25 and 28-26. The Redbirds were paced by 5-10 senior outside hitter Gil Uryicki who plays much bigger than her size. Uryicki has the interest of many Big 10 schools for track and field.
