North Mac took a two and a half hour bus trip to a 1pm Saturday start in Chester, Illinois for what felt like a playoff football game, and they left with a 30-21 win despite having trailed by 14 at the half. On the whole, you could call it a successful run through for what the Panthers hope to experience a lot more of in the playoffs.

Asa Donaldson ran 12 times for 142 yards and a touchdown. Kendall Bearden chipped in with 131 yards on 11 touches and Brennan White racked up 71 yards on the ground and added two touchdowns.

North Mac turned the ball over three times in the first half, falling behind for the first time since Week 1 and just the second time all season.

The Panthers have been without head coach Shane Owsley for much of the last few weeks as he tends to his father who's battling cancer. Owsley was in Chester on Saturday for the win.
