In a four play span to start the 4th quarter, Southeast turned a 14-6 deficit to a 21-14 lead and the Spartans would hold on to defeat the #6 team in Class 6A, Chatham Glenwood 21-20. Eddie Gailes ran for 253 yards for Southeast as the Spartans defeated Glenwood for the first time since 2002.
