Williamsville was finally able to get over the hump. Both on the field and in the Brahler Cup standings. The Bullets' state final appearances helped to give them the win and $1000 for the athletic department.
WHS won Sangamo conference titles in football, boys cross country, volleyball, baseball and softball. The runs by those teams along with the postseason success of both the boys and girls soccer teams just added to the final tally.
The Bullets football team played for a football state title, while the Williamsville baseball team made it all the way to the Class 2A state championship game. Throw in all of the regional titles and they were able to defeat defending two-time Cup champion Pleasant Plains by 13 points.
