Hank Hayer had to miss the first half the first time Calvary and Lutheran High played this season. In the conference matchup at Lutheran on Friday night, Hayer scored 22 points as the Crusaders came back to beat the Saints 42-39 to take the MSM conference lead.
Derrick Roberts lead the Saints with 11 points, who had a 10 point lead in the third quarter but the Crusaders came back to take a lead late and held on.
