Twice this season the Springfield High Senators had beaten the Glenwood. The third time was the charm for Makenzie Bray and the Titans and they did it when it mattered the most. Freshman Kenzie Decker hit a three pointer with just over 20 seconds left in overtime to give Glenwood a 50-49 win over Springfield High in the 4A Chatham regional semifinal.
Makenzie Bray led all scorers with 18 points, while Nicole Swehla had 15 for the Senators before fouling out. Glenwood will play top seeded O’Fallon in the regional championship on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
