Pleasant Plains got a penalty kick goal with 1:20 left from Kendall Sims to claim the 1A Riverton sectional championship. Elle Walker preserved the shutout for the Cardinals, who will play Freeburg on Tuesday at Columbia for the 1A super sectional title and a trip to state next Friday.
