Lewis & Clark Fall to the Loggers at the Corn Crib

The Loggers win contest against Lewis and Clark Community College on Thursday,  7-5. Lewis and Clark opened up scoring in the first inning, when Jake Radosevich was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. The Loggers knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the third inning, when Luke Kracik drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Lewis and Clark scored one run in the top of the seventh, Lincoln Land answered with one of their own.  Lewis and Clark scored when Jonny Foti was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.  The Loggers then answered when Will Rohlk singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Lincoln Land took the lead for good with three runs in the fifth inning.  In the fifth Drew Ezard singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Porter Conn got the win for the Loggers. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out six.  Evan Addis and Sergio Marchizza entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Kalen Reardon was on the hill for Lewis and Clark. The pitcher allowed one hit and four runs over four innings.  Anthony Benz and Jackson Parrill entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and a third innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively. The Loggers tallied six hits.  Grant Pohlman and Rohlk each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land.  Rohlk and Pohlman each collected two hits to lead the team. Foti led Lewis and Clark with two hits in three at bats.
