The Loggers Slide into Blow-Out Wins Over Danville Area Community College

LLCC vs Danville Area Game 1:
The Loggers asserted their will over Danville Area Community College on their way to an easy 8-2 victory.

Lincoln Land got things started in the first inning when Grant Pohlman doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. The Loggers put up three runs in the sixth inning.  Lincoln Land’s big inning was driven by a walk by Pohlman, a sac fly by Drew Ezard, and a double by Ryan Maul. Mitch Dye earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for the Loggers. Dye lasted six innings, allowing ten hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking zero.  Sergio Marchizza threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Brodi Winge was on the mound for Danville. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing 11 hits and seven runs while striking out three.  Owen Kirchenstein threw three innings out of the bullpen. The Loggers hit one home run on the day. Caleb Royer went yard in the seventh inning. The Loggers scattered 13 hits in the game.  Hunter Moser, Wandel Campana, Pohlman, and Maul all managed multiple hits.  Moser led the Loggers with three hits in five at bats.

The Jaguars totaled ten hits in the game.  Brook Bacus and Cruz Fuentes each had multiple hits for Danville.  Bacus went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits.  The jaguars didn’t commit a single error in the field. Fuentes had the most chances in the field with six.

LLCC vs Danville Area Game 2:
The Loggers took the lead late and defeated Danville Area Community College 6-3 on Thursday, in game two of double header.
The game was tied at three with the Loggers batting in the top of the seventh when Grant Pohlman homered on a 3-0 count, scoring three runs.

Danville Area scored three runs in the fifth inning, but the Loggers still managed to pull out the victory.  The Jaguars offense in the inning was led by Will Spear and Cole Evans, who each had RBIs in the inning. In the second inning, Lincoln Land got their offense started.  Will Rohlk hit a solo homer. In the top of the sixth inning, the Loggers tied things up at three.  Rohlk drove in one when Rohlk doubled. Adam Lindsey led the Lincoln Land to victory on the mound. The righty surrendered three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking one.  Evan Addis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Loggers launched three home runs on the day. Hunter Moser had a long ball in the fourth inning. Pohlman went deep in the seventh inning. Rohlk put one out in the second inning.
Lincoln Land collected eight hits.  Pohlman and Rohlk all managed multiple hits.  Rohlk and Pohlman each collected three hits to lead the team. Spear went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Danville Area in hits. The Jaguar were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Evans had the most chances in the field with eight.
