Springfield, IL – Neuhoff Media and Channel1450.com are pleased to announce the second annual Channel1450 Awards on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the LRS Hanger.
The Channel1450 Awards will be a night to celebrate the achievements of local high school athletes during the 2022-2023 school year.
“We are excited to bring back the Channel1450 Awards this year and celebrate these student athletes while continuing our commitment to local high school sports coverage,” said Kevin O’Dea, General Manager of Neuhoff Media Springfield. “We are glad to shine the spotlight on their achievements as we continue our efforts in providing ‘media made locally’ throughout the area.”
The staff at Channel1450.com will choose five finalists from several sports throughout the Central State Eight and other area conferences, with one winner coming from each category. Nominees will be announced soon on the Channel1450.com website and social media pages. Winners will be announced at the event for each category. Winners will also be announced for Coach of the Year, Scholar Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year and the UCB Cup.
Tickets to the event are $25 per person or $200 per table of eight. Nominees will receive a free ticket, information on how to claim that ticket will be sent to their school’s athletic office. Visit www.channel1450.com for information and how to purchase tickets.
