LLCC: Eight Logger Pitchers Combined for a Shut-Out to Defeat Millikin University

The Lincoln Land Loggers defeated Millikin University 7-0 on Wednesday as eight pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Trent Koehler struck out Will Lechner to finish off the game.The Loggers secured the victory thanks to four runs in the eighth inning.  Lincoln Land’s batters contributing to the big inning included Austin Adcock, Caleb Royer, and Grant Pohlman, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. The Loggers got things moving in the second inning, when Koehler singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.Lincoln Land tallied four runs in the eighth inning.  Adcock, Royer, and Pohlman each drove in runs during the inning. One bright spot for Millikin University was a double by Sean Miller in the first inning.Mitch Dye got the win for the Loggers. The pitcher went one inning, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero. Jacob Bailey took the loss for Millikin University. Bailey surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out three.Lincoln Land racked up 11 hits in the game.  Luke Kracik and Pohlman all collected multiple hits for the Loggers.  Pohlman and Kracik each managed two hits to lead the Loggers.
