Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: November 7-12

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Ty Lott (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) SHG is back in a state semifinal after a win over Murphysboro on Saturday. Lott had 150 passing yards and two touchdowns along with two more rushing touchdowns in the victory. The Cyclones will host Rochester Friday at 7pm in a 4A semifinal. Makenna Cox (Lutheran High Volleyball) The Lutheran High volleyball team brought home a second place trophy after going 1-1 at the state tournament. The Crusaders were led by Cox with 19 kills in the semifinal game on Friday, 14 of those were in the first set as they came back from being down 19-14. She also had 12 kills in the championship game on Saturday. Highlights of the semifinal win HERE.

Jake Seman (Williamsville Football) The Bullets will host a 3A semifinal game on Saturday after a big win over Stanford Olympia in the quarterfinals. Seman got it done in the air and on the ground for Williamsville. He threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 112 yards and one touchdown. Williamsville hosts Tolono Unity at 2pm on Saturday. Highlights of the quarterfinal win HERE.

Lexi Mitchell (Illinois School for the Visually Impaired Swimming) Michell had a successful weekend at the IHSA State Swim Meet. She picked up two fourth place finishes, one in the 50 freestyle and another in the 100 freestyle. Mitchell’s time in the 50 was 38.36 with a time of 1:26.49 in the 100.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Football) For the first time since 2018 the Trojans will play for a trip to the state finals. They picked up a win over Rockridge in a 2A quarterfinal over the weekend with a 21-7 win. Maurer went 14 for 15 with 150 yards in the air with another 74 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He also had two interceptions in the victory. Maroa hosts Tri-Valley Saturday at 1pm. Highlights of the win HERE.

Nolan Mrozowski (Rochester Football) The Rockets made the long road trip south to play Carterville on Saturday and brought back a 41-21 victory. Mrozowski was productive on both sides of the ball in the win, he worked hard on defense throughout the game and also stepped up big on offensive rushing for two touchdowns.
