Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: May 2-7

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Elle Walker (Pleasant Plains Girls Soccer) The Cardinals are Sangamo champs and finished their conference schedule undefeated with a win over Athens on Monday. Walker was in the goal for Plains and posted a shutout as the Cardinals won 1-0. See the highlights HERE.

Anthony Peralta (Springfield High Track and Field) The Senators won boys City for the thirteenth straight time on Tuesday. Peralta won both the 1600 and the 3200 at the City meet. He dominated the 3200 finishing about 50 seconds head of second place. Check out the highlights HERE.

Lauren Streder (Rochester Softball) Rochester traveled to Williamsville last week for some non-conference softball action and took home a 4-0 win. Streder had a great outing for the Rockets allowing just three hits and no earned runs in the seven innings pitched. See the highlights of that win HERE.

Katelyn Lehnen (Glenwood Girls Track and Field) The CS8 girls track and field champs for 2022 are the Glenwood Titans. The Titans were led by Lehnen who won the 100m, 200m and 400m at the conference meet on Wednesday. See the highlights of the conference meet HERE.

Sydney Rabideau (Auburn Softball) Auburn Trojans are Sangamo co-conference champs in softball this season as they share the title with the other Trojans, Maroa Forsyth. Auburn finished their conference schedule with a 10-0 victory over PORTA last week. In that win Rabideau pitched six innings, allowed one hit, and struck out four.

Makhiya Stephen (Maroa Forsyth Track and Field) The Maroa Forsyth girls won a Sangamo conference title in track and field at home on Tuesday. Stephen picked up a win in the 100 hurdles and a second place finish in the 100 meter. She was also a part of the first place 4×100 and 4×200 teams. Check out the highlights HERE.

Seth Impson (Springfield High Baseball) The sophomore pitched a complete game against U-High on Wednesday as Springfield picked up a 2-1 victory. He struck out five in the win with no walks allowed and no earned runs. See the highlights HERE.

Zach Powell (Pleasant Plains Track and Field) Pleasant Plains boys won the Sangamo Conference title on Tuesday at Maroa Forsyth in the final race of the night. The anchor of that race, the 4×400, was Powell. He also won the 400 earlier in the night and finished fourth in high jump. See the highlights of the Sangamo conference meet HERE.

Erin Mansfield (Glenwood Girls Soccer) The Titans are unbeaten in conference play entering their last game this week. In a dominate win over U-High on Thursday Mansfield scored two goals in the first half. Check out the highlights of the game HERE.

Jacob Blunck (Maroa Forsyth Baseball) The Trojans are looking to wrap up the Sangamo conference title this week as they play Riverton on Wednesday but last week in a win over Sullivan Blunck threw a no-hitter. He struck out five in the 16-0 victory.

Jordan Closs (Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Softball) TCSV has continued to pick up wins in the last few weeks and last Monday against Warrensburg Closs had a great pitching performance. She threw four no hit innings in the 10-0 win while striking out 11 batters.

Menna Taylor (Calvary/Lutheran Softball) The freshman pitcher has had a big year so far as she continues to rack up strikeouts. She is averaging two Ks per innings in her 94 innings pitched this season.
