Tied at one going into the seventh inning, Nolan Kulavic was up with two runners on base. He took a pitch and sent a shot into the parking lot for a 3-run home run and gave Springfield the 4-1 win in game one. Springfield would also score five runs in the first inning in game two and would win 11-1.
