Spencer Rikas (Auburn Boys Basketball) The Trojans picked up a huge win over Springfield High on Friday night. Rikas had the go ahead, game winning three with a minute left in the game for the 64-61 victory. He had 14 points with four rebounds and two steals in the game.

Emma Dixon (Rochester Girls Basketball) The Rockets picked up two more Central State Eight Conference victories this week. On Tuesday against Lanphier the junior lead the team with 18 points and she was also a contributor against Glenwood on Friday.

Brayden Barner (PORTA Wrestling) The Bluejays had four meets this week and the sophomore is off to a hot start this season. He is 13-0 in the 152 weight class.

Jake Hamilton (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Basketball) The junior went from the football field to the basketball court in less than 24 hours and has been a huge impact for the Cyclones this week. He lead the team against Jacksonville on Tuesday and had 18 points with 16 in the first half against QND on Friday. At the BOS Center on Saturday he had 18 points and 7 rebounds in the victory over Lanphier.

Aden Byal (Glenwood Wrestling) The Titans hosted their invite this weekend and Byal claimed first at 145 pounds. He bounced back for the victory after a rough night against Jacksonville on Wednesday.

Connor Breazeale (Athens Boys Basketball) The Warriors picked up a win over North Mac on the hardwood Friday night. The Warriors were down one late but a big basket from Breazeale put them ahead for the victory. He finished with 17 points.

Caroline Lambert (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Basketball) The Cyclones picked up conference wins over Jacksonville and Lanphier this week. Lambert hit a game winning three at the buzzer to lift SHG over Lanphier 54-51.

Quinten Chizmar (Auburn Wrestling) Auburn picked up multiple wins this week and Chizmar finished undefeated. The 145 pounder finished 3-0 as the competition on the mats continues to heat up.

Omar Abdul-Rahim (Southeast Boys Basketball) The Spartans came back for an overtime win over Springfield High at the Springfield Clinic Capital City Showcase on Saturday. Abdul-Rahim lead the team with 15 points with six rebounds and four steals in the 52-49 victory.
