Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: October 25-30

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Keeton Reiss (Rochester Football) The Rockets advance to round two after a 49-0 win to start the playoffs on Saturday. Reiss got it done on both sides of ball. He had a 28 yard touchdown in the third quarter plus a sack in the victory.

Olivia Haerr (U-High Swimming) The Pioneers won the conference title at the CS8 swim meet on Saturday. Haerr won the 200 yard IM, 100 yard butterfly and was a part of the first place 400 yard freestyle relay and 200 yard medley relay.

Chloe Byrd (Springfield High Volleyball) The Senators are regional champions after a three set victory over Jacksonville on Thursday. Byrd continues to be a big part of the offense as she picked up plenty of important kills throughout the night.

Ja’Kyan Shanklin (Athens Football) Shanklin continues to runs all over defensives. He had four touchdowns against Macon Meridian on Saturday as the Warriors move on to round two this weekend.

Caleina Herman (Lutheran High Volleyball) The Crusaders picked up a regional championship on Thursday. The setter has helped to control the defense all season along and did it again on Thursday. She’s constantly picking up assists as she sets up Makenna Cox and Kaleigh Bergschneider.

Richard Jackson (SHG Football) Jackson helped lead the Cyclones pick up a win over Columbia in round one of the 6A playoffs on Friday. He had two touchdowns and contributed with big plays on defense including a tackle for loss.

Lilli Amettis (Maroa Forsyth Volleyball) Maroa won a regional championship at home on Thursday and Amettis was the go to hitter all night. She was an important part of their offense picking up important kills when needed.

Rashad Rochelle (Springfield High Football) A record breaking game leads to some ridiculous performances. The Rutgers recruit had nine touchdowns in the victory, three rushing and six passing. He also had 253 yards passing and 148 yards rushing with four two point conversions.

Lauren Buxton (Pleasant Plains Volleyball) The Cardinals play in a sectional this week after winning the SHG regional against the Cyclones on Thursday. She has eight kills and four blocks in the victory.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Football) The Trojans picked up a round one victory at Walter Boyd field on Saturday over Westville on Saturay. The sophomore had 107 yards passing with one passing touchdown and 57 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown.

Becky Barrett (Athens Volleyball) In a regional semifinal on Tuesday Barrett passed a career milestone. She recorded her 1000th career dig as a junior.

Jake Seman (Williamsville Football) A win over Beardstown at Paul Jenkins Field on Saturday advances the Bullets to a round two game this weekend. Seman had four touchdowns in the win, two passing and two rushing. He had 139 yards passing and 107 yards rushing.
