Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: October 4-9

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Brady Kaufmann (Jacksonville Golf) The 2A state golf meet happened Friday and Saturday Weibring Golf Club in Normal. The Jacksonville senior finished second with a 3 under par 139 for the two days.

Agnes Cross (SHG Tennis) A repeat at the CS8 girls tennis tournament as Cross took the singles title for the second time. Cross defeated Springfield’s Nischi Korrapati in the championship 6-4, 6-3.

Austin Adcock (Rochester Football) A four touchdown performance against Glenwood earns Adcock a PTP nomination. The senior was the go to at the goal line on Friday. He picked up 49 yards rushing and 15 receiving.

Catalina Easley (Athens Golf) The Warriors sent a golfer to state and she walked away with a fifth place finish. Easley shot a 75 on day one and 73 on day two for a combined 148 at Red Tail Run Golf Course inn Decatur.

Mason Oschwald (New Berlin Football) The Pretzels got a big 19-12 win over the Riverton Hawks on Friday. The senior rushed for 140 yards in the victory including a 9 yard score in the third to put New Berlin on top.

Hannah Smith (Pleasant Plains Volleyball) The Cardinals picked up a big conference win over Athens on Thursday to remain unbeaten. Smith was an essential piece for the Cardinals and racked up 24 assists in the two set victory.

Tyaire Lott (SHG Football) SHG travled to Decatur for a big matchup with the MacArthur Generals on Friday. Lott passed for 244 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for a handful of yards in the Cyclones 41-13 victory.

Reagan Kennedy (U-High Golf) The Pioneers finished sixth as a team at state while Kennedy finished seventh as an individual. The 2A girls golf meet was at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur over the weekend. Kennedy shot a 74 on both days for a combined 148.

Rashad Rochelle (Springfield High Football) The Senators picked up their fifth win and spot in the playoffs on Friday with a win over Jacksonville. Rochelle had 150 yards and three touchdowns rushing in the victory while adding 142 yards and one touchdown through the air.

Amber Ehrlich and Simmi Mander (Glenwood Tennis) Another repeat at the CS8 conference tournament as Ehrlich and Mander are doubles champions for the second year in a row. They defeated U-High’s Brooke Martin and Haylie Martin in the championship 6-3, 6-1.

Colin Ripperda (Williamsville Football) The Bullets junior has a few offensive touchdowns this year but Friday he picked up two defensive touchdowns in one game. He had a 69 yard pick six then returned a blocked punt one yard for a touchdown.
