Jack Swaney didn’t look like a freshman in the eighth inning of the 3A state semifinal. Swaney came through with a two run knock that ultimately gave Springfield High a 6-4 victory over St. Laurence. Ben Hartl tied the game with a RBI triple in the seventh inning and got the win on the mound, including the final three outs in the eighth.
