Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: March 15-22

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Jake Burris (Glenwood Football) The Titans opened their season Saturday afternoon at home against UHigh. In his varsity quarterback debut he rushed for 247 yards and 1 touchdown while throwing for 226 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Rashad Rochelle (Springfield High Football) In a Monday night season opener the Rutgers commit had 2 rushing touchdowns and 236 passing yards with 4 more touchdowns. Springfield High walked away with the 50-19 win over Lanphier.

KeShon Singleton (SHG Football) The Cyclones picked up a 30-20 win at Kankakee on Saturday. The sophomore wide receiver had a great start to the season with a 2 catches for 2 touchdowns and 104 yards.

Tatum Outlaw (Rochester Volleyball) Volleyball also kicked off their season this week and the Rockets picked up wins against SHG and Taylorville. The senior lead the team in kills in both games with eight in both.

Kyle Ward (SHG Soccer) The Cyclones picked up a big 7-1 conference win against Rochester on Tuesday. Ward had 5 of those goals and assists on the other two.

Kaden Brown (North Mac Football) The sophomore receiver scored three touchdowns as the Panthers picked up a 60-0 win over Plains on Friday. Brown had 111 receiving yards and 50 rushing yards.

Brylan Phillips (MacArthur Football) Against Southeast on Friday the Generals opened the season with a win and Phillips picked up his first football win. The quarterback threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns and added one rushing touchdown in the victory.

Brennan Smith (Riverton Soccer) In three games last week Smith scored 10 goals and had three assists. On Saturday against Athens he had five goals as the Hawknadoes won 7-1.

Connor Tripp (Auburn Football) The Trojans traveled to New Berlin Friday night where they won 35-6. The senior had three receiving touchdowns and 160 yards in the victory.

Hank Beatty (Rochester Football) The quarterback/receiver racked up stats in both positions Friday in a victory over Jacksonville. The junior had 68 yards rushing, 150 yards passing with two touchdowns and 73 receiving yards with one receiving touchdown.
