It was fitting that the last time Bennie Slater and Shane Miller played a basketball game on the floor inside Duey Gymnasium, the two teamed up for a highlight reel play to finish off a 70-55 win over U-High on Tuesday night. Springfield High defeated the Normal U-High Pioneers to advance to the CS8 Tournament semifinals, where they will play at Lanphier on Friday evening.
