For the first time since 1991, the Lanphier Lions are sectional champions after a 51-32 victory over Rochester in the 3A Champaign sectional championship game.
The Lions led by ten after a quarter and never looked back, led by Lezhauria Williams and Martrice Brooks. Lanphier will play Highland on Monday night at the UIS supersecitonal for a trip to state next weekend.
