Ben Gilbert had just three catches but two of them went for touchdowns as Maroa-Forsyth quickly put away Pleasant Plains on their way to a 54-7 win over the Cardinals to move the Trojans to 4-1 on the season. Wade Jostes threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another in the win.
Brenden Flanigan threw Pleasant Plains’ only touchdown pass of the game which made him the school’s all time leader in touchdown passes thrown in a career.
Maroa-Forsyth will host PORTA in Week Six.
