Former Nokomis and Glenwood pitcher Reid Detmers has been an All-American as a sophomore following a standout season that saw him break the school record for strikeouts in a single season and he was named the ACC Pitcher of the Year.
Detmers will no doubt be on the mound this weekend in super regionals as Louisville plays a best of three series at home against Eastern Carolina for a spot in the College World Series in Omaha.
Detmers has 156 strikeouts and a 2.96 ERA in 100.1 innings pitched in his sophomore season.
