Pleasant Plains will play for the 2A state title on Saturday evening after beating Aurora Christian 6-3 on Friday evening at Dozer Park in Peoria.
Mason Williams got the win on the mound going 6 1/3 innings. Joel Niermann had two RBI with two base hits in the third and fourth innings. Corgan Greer added a two run single in the fourth. Joey Lee scored the game’s first two runs and had four stolen bases in the first three innings.
Pleasant Plains will play the winner of Teutopolis and Rock Island Alleman on Saturday following the 3rd place game which starts at 3 p.m.
