Washington took an early lead against SHG and didn’t look back as rainy conditions made for a wet day of baseball at Comstock Field.

With the Panthers leading 3-1 heading to the top of the sixth inning Washington would load the bases with no outs. From there Washington would blow the game open by scoring ten runs in the inning highlighted by a Chase Mason grand slam to make the score 13-1. That would be the final after six as the two teams would not play the second game of the doubleheader due to rain.
