Trojans Continue Strong Sangamo Stretch With Five Inning Rout Of Athens


 

After a big time win yesterday agains Plains, Maroa-Forsyth turned right back around to take on Athens. There would be no let down for the Trojans as the jumped on Athens early.

After a two run first inning and four run second, the Trojans waited until the top of the fifth to add seven more to close the Warriors out in five. Athens had a chance to score in the bottom of the second but Ian Benner closed the inning with multiple key strikeouts.

Benner got the win with 4ks and also added an rbi to his day. Tre Corley had five rbis and a key bases clearing triple to help the Trojans get above ten runs.
