Maroa-Forsyth jumped to a 6-2 lead headed to the 5th and looked to be running away with the game against Auburn. Auburn would power back into the game sparked by a Cassidy Filipiak base clearing triple that would have the Trojans down 6-5. With the game tied at six in the 6th inning Maroa would score two more runs to take the lead and go on to beat Auburn 13-8.
