Gibson City flexed their muscles with 25 more rebounds than Pleasant Plains in the 2A UIS super sectional and sailed into the Final Four in Peoria with a 52-37 victory over the Cardinals.
Ryalnd Holt had 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Falcons corralled 46 boards, including 18 on the offensive end. Connor Birky had 17 points for GCMS who held Joel Niermann to just 2 points and 5 rebounds. Justin Guernsey had 14 points for Plains and Nick Savage added 9 as the Cardinals close their season at 24-10, one game shy a trip to state.
