After a thrilling win Friday night against Lincoln the Tornadoes had to bounce back against Alton in non conference play.
The Redbirds would lead by 14 in the third quarter but the Tornadoes would come back and cut the lead to 9 headed into the fourth. Taylorville would eventually cut the lead to two mid way through the fourth but the Redbirds would hold on for the 58-55 win.
