Lawrence Thomas mentioned in his postgame interview he had a “speech” for his guys at halftime. Whatever he said worked quite well because a one point halftime lead quickly turned into game over as the Spartans opened the third quarter on a 17-2 run to eventually put a running clock on SHG in the City championship.

Terrion Murdix had 19 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists to lead Southeast to an 84-50 win over SHG. James Dent, Michael Tyler and Damon Davis all scored in double figures for the Spartans who remain undefeated in CS8 play and repeat as City champions.

Charlie Hamilton scored 17 of his 19 in the first half for SHG and Nick Broeker had 12 points for the Cyclones.
