Sam Mount was the only player in double figures and made some big free throws down the stretch as North Mac held off a late New Berlin charge for a 43-40 win at the Waverly Holiday Tournament.
North Mac didn’t score a field goal in the fourth quarter but Mount finished with 19 points and Tanner Wilson made a free throw with six seconds left to push the lead to three after Zach Brewer made it 42-40 with 7 seconds to play after the Pretzels trailed by double digits in the fourth quarter.
North Mac will play West Central on Friday at 2 p.m. in the first semifinal.
