The Pioneers trailed at half, 30-23, to Zion Benton as the Zee Bees controlled the first half of play. Nate Torres and Alex Wood had strong third quarters to help the Pioneers take a 40-38 lead headed into the final quarter.
With under a minute to play, Kayleb Naylor hit a layup for the Zee Bees to tie the game 52-52. With 7 seconds left to play, Logan Christensen drove to the basket and converted a layup to give the Pioneers a 54-52 win as time expired.
