Eisenhower’s Youth Sends Lanphier Home With CS8 Loss


 

Youth was served in Decatur tonight as the Eisenhower Panthers, who have just two seniors on their team, rally from double digit deficits in the first and second half to stun Lanphier 61-55.

Freshman point guard Bryan Phillips quarterbacked the Panthers to the come from behind win with 12 points, 10 assists and 3 steals while sophomore R.J Walker scored 16 to help the Panthers rally and pull away in the 4th quarter to the win.

Karl Wright had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead all scorers for Lanphier but when Wright was on the bench that’s when Eisenhower was able to rally and then later put the game away late.

Eisenhower goes to 4-4 overall and 4-2 in the CS8 with the win, while Lanphier falls to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the CS8.
