The Warriors found themselves down 14 late in the third quarter against Beardstown. Nic Laird, who dropped 29 points, and Nick King both had big baskets to bring the warriors within nine at the end of the third. The Tigers would struggle from the line down the stretch and allow Athens to have a chance to tie the game with seven seconds remaining. Jack Richards would miss on his first attempt but make his second try tying the game at 52 as time expired. The Warriors would only allow three points in OT and go on to beat Beardstown 66-55.
