Pleasant Plains already knocked off 2016 champ Eureka in the Beardstown Super-sectional, so what’s another state champ to the Cardinals? Plains went into Redbird Arena Friday and played three heart-stopping sets with the defending 2A state champs St. Thomas More, ultimately coming out on top with a 26-24 third set win to set up a State Final appearance against Galena Saturday afternoon right back at Redbird.
