Routt jumped to an early 5-1 lead thanks to a kill by Addie Huey. The Lady Toppers would would get back into the game and tie the score at 18. Annika Black and Katie Abell would help the Rockets pull away as they would win the first set 25-20.
The Lady Toppers would control the early part of the second set as a kill from Abigail Fitzpatrick would make the score 8-3. Routt would come back and tie the score at 13-13. Both teams would trade points and find themselves tied again at 20-20. Skylar Hayes would give Mt.Pulaski a 24-22, but the Rockets would comeback once again and tie the score at 24. Routt would finish the set off winning 26-24 over Mt.Pulaski to take home a sectional championship.
